Steven Krein is co-founder and CEO of OrganizedWisdom Health.
Steven, a long time entrepreneur, has been involved with building Internet companies for more than a decade. Steven was the co-founder, Chairman and CEO of the first Internet promotion and technology company, Promotions.com, which was founded in 1996, went public on Nasdaq in 1999 and was acquired by iVillage in 2002. Promotions.com was named to Deloitte & Touche's "Technology Fast 50," ranking it as one of the fastest growing technology companies in New York City. In less than four years, Promotions.com grew to more than $27 million in annual revenue, became a top 25 Web destination, built a database of more than 20 million consumers, attracted some of the largest brands in the world as clients including Kraft Foods, Citibank and NBC, raised more than $45 million from leading investors including Citigroup Investments, Allen & Company, BigFlower Holdings, Invesco Private Capital, Stone Capital, Excite@Home and NBC, and went public on Nasdaq, achieving a market capitalization of more than $500 million. After the company was acquired, Krein briefly stayed on at iVillage as a senior executive before founding Transformation Ventures, where he created and coached entrepreneurs on The 10 Laws of Creating Equity Valueâ„¢. He was also Assistant Publisher of the first Internet service for lawyers, Law.com, which was founded in 1994 as Law Journal Extra! and subsequently acquired by American Lawyer Media.
He is a frequent speaker on entrepreneurism and health focused social media, and has been featured on The Today Show, CNN, the Fox News Channel, CNBC Power Lunch, CNBC Marketwatch and Bloomberg News. Steven received his J.D. degree from Widener University School of Law and his B.A. degree from the University of Maryland College Park.
